April 8, 2025 - The North Atlantic Fire Science Exchange (NAFSE) recently had the opportunity to take part in the International Association of Wildland Fire's (IAWF) Mentoring Program. We were fortunate enough to collaborate and develop a project, the Wildland Fire Resources Library, with Max Levy, who will be working on a Helitack Crew this season in Washington state.
The project is a centralized hub for the wildland fire community, providing access to valuable resources, opportunities, and information. It also serves as a starting point for young professionals to gain further knowledge of the fire and forestry community through such topics as Community Resilience, Fire Information, Smoke Monitoring, Climate and Weather Resources, Student Assistance Programs, Employment Opportunities, Wildfire Training, and Fire and Forestry Groups.
